Christmas Eve 2003

OK, if it's not one thing, it's another. It was 8:53, 7 minutes before the 9:00 service started, and I found out that the worship committee hadn't gotten us ushers. Nobody to do the candle lighting, nobody to do the Advent candle, nobody to collect the offering. That was insane. But thanks to Tara, we got them all. It was the best Christmas Eve service I have done. It was so cool to see the Edwards' sisters right up front, to see the Lynch's and the Bucks and Chapmans all enjoying themselves, singing to their hearts' content.

Of course, the 11:00 service was sooooooooooooooo long. It seemed like Gary wanted to get everything that he'd never gotten in before since this would be his last Christmas Eve service @ Stonybrook..

More later...
