Communication, NK style

What you can't see in the picture is that local calls cost 5 cents each. That sounds like quite a deal until you remember how bodaciously small this town is. For that much, you can buy a can of Pepsi at the Newcomer's pop machine. Of course (for the uninitiated), the Newcomer's just happen to have a pop machine in their garage and they also have a jar of nickels on top of it in case you don't have one of your own.

There are benefits to small towns. Just remember that if sometime you take a nickel for your pop, you might leave one another time. They're probably watching it anyway. :)

How do you dial Alaska from this one?

I think to dial Alaska, you simply punch the buttons 1,2,3. And insert a nickel.
