Vacation, part 1, in which the boys ride an airplane

After a drive to Chicago and an overnight stay at my in-laws', we got to the airport bright and early - early enough for (airport-priced) breakfast (and a little clowning around)
Then it wasn't long until we got to get aboard the plane. The boys were so excited! Jonathan had been most excited about getting to ride in an airplane, and he finally got to (he had ridden in airplanes a couple of times before, but he was too little to remember those trips). Andrew was mesmerized by everything; it was all we could do to force him to take a little nap on the plane.Jonathan loved it. He especially loved looking out the window as we went faster and faster. He liked going down the runway "as fast as a race car" and then seeing everything down below us as we took off.

The flight was pretty much uneventful (for us, as adults) but full of excitement for the boys. At the end of the flight, we had several people stop and tell us how well behaved our boys were.

But of course!

Next installment: our first hike...

I tried to leave a comment before but it didn't work: I think it doesn't like me. And who else loved paper bags on HIS little head when he was small??? Of course your boys were wonderfully behaved!
