That's what it takes to feed and care for a child for a day. $1. Seems pretty petty, doesn't it? I mean, that buys 1/2 gallon of gas here in Columbus. That buys 2 cans of Dr. Pepper from the pop machine in the church basement. It buys 2 candy bars, 3 if they are on special sale.
And it cares for a child for a day. That's why we're doing the 30 Hour Famine tomorrow. I'll update you on how it went once we've done it.

My wife and I sponsor a child through Compassion. It's really cool to get the letters and all back and forth. Thinking of that, we need to write soon!
