Not So Happy Boy

Someone wasn't up for meeting Ole Saint Nick at the YMCA Thursday night. Give it up for Santa, though; he tried multiple methods to get a "good" picture. First he stopped in to see the kids in the nursery room, giving them each a gift. Jonathan got a board book and a skinny, stretchy snowman toy (which says, "Jesus loves me" on it).

He wasn't nuts about the fat guy in the beard then.

So then it was time to get a picture taken with him. But first, we decided to butter him up with cookies. He wouldn't have any part of it. There was no way he was going to sit in Santa's lap. Funny, he doesn't have problems with other people; he doesn't seem to know a stranger at all.

So we had Santa try and sneak up behind us. It might have worked had Santa not been wearing bells. When he heard the bells (before he even saw the big ol' elf), he was crying. So that's the picture we got. Just like last year's picture with Santa. Probably like next year's, too.
