Hysterical Teenagers!
One thing I love about working with young people is how funny they are. Case in point: this evening at soccer practice, the varsity team finished up with a shooting contest, seniors against underclassmen. The seniors won the first round, and the underclassmen won the second, making a third and decisive game necessary. The underclassmen won, and coach gathered them together, asking them what they wanted the seniors to do as their penalty for losing.
One of the underclassmen spoke up immediately. "They have to take off our shoes and socks and shinguards!" It was the funniest thing ever. I'm still laughing about it.

sounds like cruel and in-human punishment to me....
Absolutely. That's what made it so funny. That and the fact that the underclassman in question spoke up so quickly, as if he had been planning this for a long time.
