Columbus Crew Game
On Saturday, a group from our church attended the Columbus Crew's game against the hated New England Revolution. It was a battle of #1 and #2 in MLS, sure to be a great game...
Both teams were missing key players: Columbus was missing Hey!Duck and Moreno, while the Revs were missing Steve Ralston (truth be known, he's one of my favorite MLS players even though he plays for the enemy).
As it turned out, the Revs' loss was far bigger than the Crew's - that and the fact that the Revs have been playing twice a week for the past month, flying all over the place just to play another game against another opponent.
As it was, the opening whistle was as close as the Revs got. The 4-0 result wasn't even indicative of what an utter whitewash the game was.
The real story of the game was the facial hair sported by some of the jokers in the audience.
Who comes up with these people?

If you keep letting that thing grow, then someday you can be Union general in a Civil War re-enactment. Believe it or not, I am strangely jealous.
