First Day of School!
Monday was Jonathan's first day of preschool at the Little Blessings Preschool (a ministry of the Millersport United Methodist Church, where I am the pastor). He was very excited! He got his school bag (which he and Tara decorated - one side has police cars, a badge, etc. and the other side has fire trucks) and headed out for school.
Normally I would go in to the office a bit earlier than 9:00, but I wanted to go along for the first day of school.
Jonathan decided he wanted to ride his bike to school. When we got there, he stashed the bike so "if a thief wants to take it, he can't find it."
When we got there, the hall was full of parents and children, excited for the first day. Only one boy was crying (he was in Jonathan's class, which is right across the hall from my office). He only cried for the first 5-10 minutes, after which time he calmed down.
Jonathan had a great time and was very excited about going back. He told me that he played with the marble thing and they had a story and he shared his banana bread with the class (it was his day to bring snack, and we brought homemade banana bread) and he played outside on the park.
After school, he was exhausted and hardly wanted to eat lunch, but it was a good day, and today he was super-excited to go back!
